Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This policy explains how Priority One Renovations Ltd. handles personal information when you request an estimate, contact us about a renovation or new build, or share photos and plans of your project.
Andy Harding, owner, is responsible for how we handle your personal information. You can reach him at andy@priority1renovations.ca or 902-483-9498.
What we collect
When you request an estimate, we ask for your name, email, phone number and community. We don't ask for your street address at this stage. You'll also tell us about your project, and you can attach photos or plans if you'd like.
Please attach only material that relates to the project and that you have permission to share. Leave out identification documents, financial information and photos of other people.
If your project goes ahead, we'll ask for your property address and any other details we need to visit, prepare an estimate, prepare the contract for signature and do the work. We also keep our correspondence with you.
How we use it
We use your information to understand your project, contact you, arrange a visit, prepare and discuss your estimate, prepare the contract, plan the work and keep you updated. When your request comes in, we send you an email confirming we've received it.
Requesting an estimate doesn't sign you up for promotional emails.
Who sees it
Only Andy and the members of our team working on your request or project can see your information. If work goes ahead, the tradespeople involved receive only the details they need for their part of the job.
We use a small number of service providers to run our website, email and advertising:
- Google Workspace provides our email.
- Fathom Analytics measures website traffic.
- Google Ads measures which of our ads lead to estimate requests.
We don't sell your information. We may disclose it where the law requires us to.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the people who need it, and our accounts are password-protected. If a breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we'll let you know and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Analytics and advertising
We use Fathom Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. Fathom doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect information that identifies you.
We advertise on Google.
When you arrive from one of our Google ads, we keep the ad's click ID in a cookie on your device for 90 days. If you send us an estimate request, the click ID goes with it so we can see which ads bring in enquiries. We use it only to measure our advertising.
Our hosting servers also keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, page requested, time and browser type, to run and protect the site.
The estimate form doesn't save what you type in your browser.
Your choices and rights
You can ask Andy what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent for a particular use. We may need to confirm your identity first. We'll respond within 30 days.
We may need to keep some information for an active project or a legal obligation. If we can't fully do what you've asked, we'll explain why and how it affects your project.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If we want to use your information for something new, we'll ask you first.
