How we work
One step closer to the room you’re picturing.
You don’t have to figure it all out today. Andy works through each step with you.
Start at the beginning-
Step 01
Tell us the plan
Start with the estimate form, or call if you'd rather talk. It is not a quote; it is how the job gets in front of Andy with enough detail for a real conversation. Worth including:
- The type of project and what you want done
- Your town or community
- Roughly when you hope to start
- Any photos or plans you already have
If anything important is missing, Andy asks for it before anything else happens.
The conversation -
Step 02
Talk it through
Andy calls to go through what you sent: your goals, what is in and out of scope, and the budget you are working with. If the job is a fit, you book the site visit on that call. If it is not the kind of work he takes, he says so and points you to someone better suited where he can. Nobody's time gets wasted, including yours.
The site visit -
Step 03
See it on site
Andy visits the property to walk the work with you and check what the form and photos could not show: existing conditions, access, the details that shape the price. Then you get a written estimate based on what he saw, not on a phone description, covering:
- The scope of work, and what is excluded
- The price
- The expected duration
Signing the agreement and paying the deposit is what books the job, and nothing is built before you have approved both.
Your plan and estimate -
Step 04
Build
Work starts once the agreement is signed. Andy is your single point of contact, working the job with trades whose work he already knows.
Changes to scope are written up and priced before the extra work is done, never after. Payments follow finished stages of the job, not the calendar, and each invoice covers work completed to that stage.
Selection deadlines are set early, so your choices never hold up your own schedule. You get regular updates on progress and anything that affects timing.
The build -
Step 05
Handover
When the work in the agreement is complete, you walk the job with Andy. Anything that does not match the agreed scope goes on a punch list and is finished before closeout.
You then get the closeout notes: what was done, and the warranty terms that apply, backed by the written two-year workmanship warranty. The final stage payment is due at closeout, after the punch list.
